Glen Powell isn't discounting his ex Gigi Paris' feelings following her recent comments on the romance rumors surrounding the actor and his Anyone But You costar Sydney Sweeney.
While promoting their movie, Powell and Sweeney stirred up speculation that their chemistry on screen extended behind the scenes despite both behind in relationships at the time. Powell had been dating Paris for more than three years while Sweeney was engaged to Jonathan Davino; however, both relationships have since ended.
In a podcast appearance in June, Paris said she had to "walk away" from their relationship because she didn't want to "pretend like I was going along with everything," calling Powell and Sweeney's rumored romance "all a PR scheme at the expense of our relationship."
In a new interview with GQ published September 9, the Twisters star noted that the end of a relationship always results in different perspectives, per E! News.
"I will always have nothing but love for her and respect for her," he said. "Everybody's always going to have their own narrative on things and all that. And she's welcome to it. Relationships are really hard. And when two people break up, they each go to their own brunch and they will each tell their own narrative."
Earlier this year, the Set It Up actor reacted to new reports he had struck up a romance with Sweeney after they were seen together at his sister's wedding, cheekily admitting the reunion caused "a little bit of a stir."
